LOOK
BACK
IN ANGER
- By John Osborne
Osborne’s ‘Look Back in Anger’ deals with social
status in the nineteen-fifties through the eyes of
‘angry young man’ Jimmy Porter. Locked away in a
miserable existence, Jimmy, his wife Alison and their lodger Cliff struggle through life in a world
ruled by the rich.
It’s not a question of being ‘driven over the edge’
but ‘how far over the edge you can drive’.
This classic of twentieth century theatre is
produced by Upstage Left Theatre Company and promises to pull no punches.
